The Role
The Electrical Design Engineer/Technical Project Engineer coordinates all post‑order engineering activities for customer projects, ensuring successful design, integration, and delivery of electrical power systems. The role acts as a key technical interface between customers, internal engineering teams, and external partners.
Projects typically involve LV/MV power distribution, UPS systems, and automation solutions (EPMS, SCADA), mainly for data centers, utilities, and oil & gas applications.
This is primarily an office‑based role with occasional travel to customer sites, suppliers, and Eaton manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical scope from sales handover to project close‑out
- Coordinate technical interfaces between customers, consultants, and internal teams
- Review drawings, specifications, and electrical requirements
- Manage technical documentation and submissions
- Support risk management, quality, and root‑cause analysis
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Support pre‑order technical activities when needed
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in electrical systems engineering (MV/LV)
- Experience in customer project execution
- Data center, UPS experience is a plus
